Comments on Newtown Teacher’s Service on Sandy Hook Advisory Commission

“AFT Connecticut is incredibly proud of Newtown Middle School teacher Ron Chivinski for representing the educators and support personnel whose lives were lost at Sandy Hook School in December 2012. For more than two years he has been a tireless advocate for the policies and tools needed to prevent similar workplace tragedies from occurring in the future.

“We are grateful for his service on the commission and his commitment to helping protect public safety, particularly in our schools.”
